The Cuisinart ICE-50BC Supreme Ice Cream Maker is excellent. After reading many mixed reviews from different sites, I did not know what to expect. Let me tell you this ice cream maker is awesome in every way. I have never made ice cream before this machine, and the results were perfect. First, I made the custard based vanilla bean flavor in which the ice cream was a pale yellow in color with little flecks of vanilla bean, creamy and so good. Next, I made another vanilla flavor using vanilla extract and no eggs, which resulted in ice cream pure white in color, creamy and yummy as well. The ice cream is processed quickly: one-half of a recipe was ready in 20 minutes and a full recipe ready in 45 minutes. The ice cream processes to a soft-serve, so you have to freeze for one to two hours before serving. One can make batch after batch of frozen treats due to the built-in commercial-style compressor freezer. Clean up is a breeze: pail, paddle, and lid wash easily with warm soapy water and a rinse. There were lots of comments on the noise from this machine while making ice cream. I did not find this
machine to be too noisy at all. My Wolfgang Puck convection oven is much louder than this ice cream maker. Also, there were comments on how the arm fits to the paddle for mixing. Everything on my machine fits snug and secure together and stays secure during mixing with no problems. I find the design to be great. The machine is sturdy and heavy in construction with a pretty brushed stainless steel appearance. The construction is all metal, except the arm is a silver-color plastic, the lid is a clear plastic, and the paddle is a white-color plastic, which is nice because they are light in weight. I would recommend the Cuisinart ICE-50BC Supreme Ice Cream Maker to all who want batch-after-batch of perfect homemade ice cream, frozen desserts and drinks with little effort and quick results.

So, am I implying that this Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker is perfect? No, I'm not. Cuisinart ice cream makers, including the ICE-50BC, are like everything else. Nothing is perfect.
